• In this activity, we will outfit a room with your ultimate entertainment system. Find at least six electrical devices, and their power rating. Make shapes in the space below for each device you choose, and label the shape with the name of the device and its peak wattage.
• Determine the total power (in watts) of all of the devices. Divide by 120 (volts) to determine the current supplied to the system (in amps).
• Determine whether your entertainment system would trip a 5-amp, 10-amp, 15-amp, or 20-amp circuit breaker.
• How many 15-amp circuits would you need for the room? How would you divide the appliances?
